I Became a Boss at Riot Games With No Gaming Experience. Here’s Why That Matters For You.

At 40 years old, I landed what I thought was my dream job in the gaming industry. Within the first week, I realized I had no idea what I was doing. I was leading a team in an industry I barely understood. Every day felt like performing with confidence while drowning in doubt. I wasn’t “gamer enough.” My accomplishments didn’t seem to resonate the way I expected. The feeling of being an outsider was constant.

Then one of my team members quit, citing overwhelming stress. That was my wake-up call. The problem wasn’t the industry. The problem was me.

I invested in coaching. I learned how to lead differently. I learned how to communicate my value in a way that actually landed. And something shifted. My team transformed. I transformed. I went from feeling like an imposter to becoming someone who could help others see what they couldn’t see in themselves.

That’s what I do now.

What I Bring To The Table

I’m not coaching from theory. I’m coaching from the OTHER SIDE of the hiring table.

As a leader at Riot Games, I reviewed thousands of applications. I sat in calibration meetings where we decided who moved forward and who didn’t. I watched incredible candidates eliminate themselves with bad positioning and mediocre candidates advance because they knew how to tell a compelling story.

That insider perspective is what makes Unstoppable Guild different. I don’t guess at what hiring managers want. I KNOW what they want. Because I was one.

The Unstoppable Guild

I founded Unstoppable Guild because I kept seeing the same pattern: gaming professionals who were objectively talented but subjectively invisible. Designers, producers, engineers, artists, and executives who were doing remarkable work but couldn’t articulate why anyone should care. The industry doesn’t reward the best talent. It rewards the most VISIBLE talent. My job is to close that gap.

I work with clients across the US, Europe, and Asia from my base in Singapore. Whether you’re mid-career and stuck, post-layoff and lost, or senior and wondering why you’re not progressing… the answer is almost always the same.

You don’t need more skills. You need more visibility. See what my clients have achieved.
