Career Sprint

Stop Being the Gaming Industry’s Best-Kept Secret

For gaming professionals who need to stop hiding and start getting hired, fast.

Join nearly 100 gaming professionals who’ve worked with me to get hired.

You’re stuck in an inbox of ghosted applications, watching less-qualified people land the roles you want, and knowing you should be much further along by now.

The Career Sprint is a focused, 10-session program designed for gaming professionals who need to get their job search fundamentals right, FAST. No fluff. No therapy sessions about your childhood. Just the tactical skills that get you from invisible to interview-ready.

Each time we change something about my profile or my resume, there is an opportunity the next day. I still don’t know if you are a wizard or an excellent coach.

Why Smart Gaming Professionals Stay Invisible

Here’s what I’ve learned from 10+ years in gaming and thousands of resumes reviewed:

The people who get hired aren’t the best at the work. They’re the best at being seen.

And most gaming professionals have the opposite problem. You’re great at the work. You’re terrible at being seen. Not because you’re lazy or don’t care. Because the industry trained you to be invisible.

The Ninja Trap

You got where you are by executing. By being the reliable person who ships. By letting the work speak for itself. That worked when you were junior. It stops working the moment you need to level up, because the work doesn’t speak for itself, and nobody outside your team knows what you actually do.

The Generalist Curse

You’ve worn 12 hats across 4 studios. You can do a little of everything. Which means when a recruiter reads your resume, they can’t remember you for anything specific. You’re not the networking person, or the monetization person, or the live-ops person. You’re the “yeah I’ve done that” person. That’s death in a 6-second scan.

The 7-Second Rule

That’s how long a recruiter looks at your resume before deciding yes, no, or maybe. Seven seconds. If your resume doesn’t land a specific, memorable hook in that window, you go in the “no” pile, and you never hear back. Which is why you think the market is broken when actually your resume is.

This is the Visibility Gap. And it’s fixable. Fast.

What’s True About You After 10 Weeks

10 weeks from now, here’s what’s different:

  • You have a resume that survives the 6-second scan. Quantified achievements, not generic bullet points. Specific outcomes, not vague responsibilities. Built to get you past the filter and into the room.
  • You can say out loud what you do, and why it matters. No more freezing when someone at a conference asks what you’re working on. You have a positioning statement that sounds like you, not a LinkedIn headline generator.
  • You have 3 to 5 signature stories, ready to deploy. Not rehearsed. Not scripted. Real stories from your career, structured so hiring managers remember you after the interview ends.
  • You know which roles to chase and which to ignore. No more spray-and-pray applications. You have a target list, a reason for each target, and a plan to get in front of the right people.
  • You have a networking system that generates warm intros. No more cold outreach. No more “I’ll just apply online and hope.” You’re building relationships that turn into opportunities, the way gaming actually hires.
  • You walk into interviews as yourself, not as a performance. You stop memorizing answers. You stop trying to sound “professional.” You show up as the person who actually does the work, and that’s the person who gets hired.

This isn’t theory. This is what nearly 100 gaming professionals have already done working with me.

What Happens When Gaming Pros Work With Me

Each time we change something about my profile or my resume, there is an opportunity the next day. I still don’t know if you are a wizard or an excellent coach.

Saba

Been getting positive messages. People saying they’ll forward my portfolio. Even just talking to people who are currently looking for work, it feels nice to be able to share some positive energy with them.

Mark

Ended up having two interviews yesterday. It was intense, I wasn’t prepared for the second, but they clearly were excited.

Is the Sprint Right for You?

The Sprint IS for you if:

  • You’re a gaming professional (designer, producer, engineer, artist, PM, exec, or any role that ships games)
  • You’re at least 2 years into your career and have real work to show
  • You’re actively job searching or planning to within the next 3 months
  • You’re ready to execute between sessions, not just take notes
  • You want tactical work (resume, positioning, interviews, networking) done properly and fast

The Sprint is NOT for you if:

  • You’re looking for deep mindset work on why you hide (that’s the Career Accelerator)
  • You’re brand new to gaming and need entry-level guidance
  • You want someone to do the work FOR you instead of WITH you
  • You’re not willing to ship real output between sessions
  • You’re looking for a job guarantee. I don’t sell those, because nobody honest does.

The 10-Week Roadmap

The Sprint is 10 weeks of 1:1 coaching, structured in three phases. Each phase builds on the last. By the end, you have every asset and every skill you need to run a real job search, not a hopeful one.

Phase 1: Foundation (Weeks 1 to 3)

We start with your story. Who you are, what you’ve actually done, what makes you different. Then we rebuild your resume from the ground up: quantified achievements, specific outcomes, built to survive the 6-second scan. By the end of Phase 1, you have a resume you’d hand to anyone, and a positioning statement you can say out loud without cringing.

Phase 2: Assets (Weeks 4 to 6)

We build the machine. Your signature stories: 3 to 5 real stories from your career, structured so hiring managers remember them. Your LinkedIn profile, rebuilt to match the resume. Your target list: which studios, which roles, which people, and why. By end of Phase 2, you have every asset a job search needs.

Phase 3: Execution (Weeks 7 to 10)

We run the search. Mock interviews with real feedback from someone who used to be on the other side of the table. Networking outreach: warm intros, not cold applications. Offer negotiation when it’s time. By end of Phase 3, you’re not preparing to job search. You’re in the middle of one, and it’s working.

Who’s Coaching You

I’m Chris Tran. I spent 10+ years in gaming, including as Head of SEA Esports at Riot Games and as a hiring manager who reviewed thousands of resumes and sat on hundreds of interviews.

I’ve seen exactly what makes hiring managers say yes, and exactly what makes them say no. Most of the time, the “no” has nothing to do with whether the candidate could do the job. It has to do with whether they made it easy to believe they could.

That’s what I coach. Not how to be someone else. How to be the most visible, believable version of who you already are.

I’m CPCC-certified, based in Singapore, and work with clients across the US, Europe, and Asia. I run the Career Sprint, Career Accelerator, and Unstoppable Guild, because different people need different paths, and the one-size-fits-all approach is why most career coaching doesn’t work.

Questions You’re Probably Asking

How is this different from the Career Accelerator?

The Sprint is tactical. 10 weeks, skills-focused, built to move fast. The Accelerator is 14 weeks and goes deeper: same tactical foundation, plus mindset work on why you’ve been hiding in the first place. If you need speed, take the Sprint. If you need transformation, take the Accelerator.

What if I’m mid-layoff and need to move even faster?

The Sprint is already the fastest path I offer. If you’re mid-layoff and the 10-week timeline is too slow, message me. We can talk about whether an accelerated version or consulting engagement fits better.

What if I miss a session?

Sessions are recorded and rescheduling is available. I’d rather you miss a session and catch up than quit because life happened.

Do you guarantee I’ll get a job?

No. Anyone who guarantees you a job is either lying or desperate. What I guarantee is that if you do the work, you’ll finish the Sprint with better assets, better positioning, better interviews, and a real search system. That’s what actually leads to offers.

How much time per week does this take?

Plan for 30 minutes in session plus 2 to 4 hours of work between sessions. More if you’re executing hard, less if you’re mostly consolidating. Treat it like a real project.

What’s the investment?

$2,500 for the full 10-week program. See the breakdown above. Payment plans are available on request.

Ready to Stop Hiding?

You already do the work. You’re already good. The only thing between you and the career you want is visibility, and visibility is a skill, not a personality trait.

10 weeks. 1:1 coaching. Real work. Real results.
